I finished my DPhil in the Department of Materials in 2011. I moved to India after my doctoral studies and have worked at a Defence Laboratory and later as part of the R&D team at a steel plant. I moved back to Oxford in 2016 and joined as a postdoctoral researcher. My specialisation lies in developing Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) based Electron Backscatter Diffraction (EBSD) and Transmission Kikuchi Diffraction (TKD) based methods to understand deformation in a large range of alloys. As a part of the Nanoanalysis group, my primary work is on TKD and 3D-EBSD based techniques to develop a better understanding of Stress Corrosion cracking (SCC) in austenitic alloys. I also work on Digital Image Correlation (DIC) and X-ray based techniques for strain measurement.
